Meet Taylor Bros

Verdun Taylor a gas fitter working for the Gas Board and his brother Eddy Taylor a plumber decided to start their own plumbing and heating business.

At Easter 1957 Taylor Bros (Grays) was officially born, serving the local communities plumbing and heating needs.

Later that year Verdun’s son David came into the business, then Paul, John and Peter Taylor the other three sons.

The early 70’s saw Taylor Bros(Grays) join the then new gas accreditation body CORGI. In 1974, Taylor Bros (Grays) moved into new premises at 10/12 Broadway, Grays, Essex. The same year we became a Plumbing & Heating Merchants, selling a huge range of Plumbing & Heating supplies, as well as the work we did before.

The early 80’s saw a new generation Paul’s son Mark joins the business and a little later David’s son joined the family business too.

In 2009 Taylor Bros(Grays) joined Gas Safe, underlining our reputation as the name to trust in Gas Safety.

Fifty years after opening that shop, Taylor Bros (Grays) has moved on, were no longer at that same address where we started.

Though were proudly still a family run and owned business serving the community as we always have.

Today David Taylor Jnr runs and owns Taylor Bros (Grays). We have been proudly serving the local community for over 65 years.
